ELDERS DAY ANNUAL CONCERT 2023
ELDERS DAY ANNUAL CONCERT 2023
It was a day
to acknowledge the hardwork and dedication of our students, teachers and staff.
This year has been an exceptional one for our school and we have achieved many
milestones together, from sports achievements to academic success, we have
accomplished so much and made our school proud.
We
cordially and respectfully welcomed our chief guest Shri Raghvendra Shukla,
a social worker. Our chief guest doesn’t need any formal
introduction as he is a well-known and distinguished figure of our society.
Our
next guest of honour was Shri Sarvesh Asthana. He is a poet, writer and
satirist, who writes and performs in Hindi language. He has authored around 12
books.
It
is a great pleasure to welcome our distinguished Chief Guest Shri Ram
Krishna Yadav, who is a corporater and an Indian Politician. He is a person
of high integrity and true servant to the society.
The theme of
our annual function is the “Elder’s Day” which showed the important of
our elders as they are pillar of our society and also to appreciate the
contributions of the elders.
“Elders
are the one who brings out the best in you but not the stress in you so give
our elders a chance to smile, a reason to live and a life they deserve. Respect
them and love them.”
We had our
traditional auspicious lamp lightning ceremony as a tribute to a God
Ganesha, who is prominently known as the “remover of obstacles”.
With fresh
evening we invited our senior girls group of class 9th and 10th
to dedicate their performance to Goddess Saraswati (Saraswati Vandana)
and get their blessings so that we gain the light of true peace, wisdom and
knowledge which make our life more bright, and wise.
The students
of class 1st to 5th to welcome the audience by their
melodious “welcome song.”
We had our
evening’s balls rolling with our next performers from class 5th to
come up on the stage and enacted the skit based on “Save Environment” which
messages us to keep our environment clean and green.
Class 4th
students’ performance on “Chanda Chamke Cham Cham“ which revolves around the feeling of love
and innocence of childhood and their memories, which holds a special place in
one’s heart ,shaped by playful moments and learning experiences.
The performance
by our little kids from class 1st on song Dynamite brought a
new surge of energy with in our audience.
The programme
was then followed by eye catching performance of our little toddlers from PG
and Nursery on song “sapne re”.
The colors
and costumes of class 9th and 10th girls added the
liveliness to the celebration with the synchronizing dance movements on “Shubh
Din Ayo”, which also marked celebration of an auspicious day in our Indian history.
“Social
media is not just an activity; it is an investment of valuable time and resources.” Platforms like TikTok, Twitter,
Instagram, and Snapchat are very informative
for entertainment and self-expression but excessive use of social media use can also negatively
affect teens, distracting them, disrupting their sleep, and exposing them to
bullying, rumor spreading, unrealistic views of other people's lives and peer
pressure. Class 7th
girls performed on the skit “Social Media: Boon or Bane.”(Social Awareness
Skit)
Our next dance was done by our little
kindergarteners to convey a sense of
empowerment and liberation and embracing their individuality with Ready to
go song dance.
The energetic
and explosive dance performance by class 9th to 12th boys
on “Mile Sur Mera Tumhara” song which awakened the feeling of national
integration and patriotism within us and also inspired the audience to shake
their legs and enthral the spectators. It was indeed a truly mesmerising shows.
Class 9 to 12
presented a well scripted drama “Julius Caesar” by William Shakespeare.
We ended our
journey of celebration by last performance “Achyutam Keshavam” done by class 9
to 12 girls.
Lastly our
Director Sir delivered his vote of thanks to our all the chief guests with
honouring them with Shawl and garlanding.
It was a
magical moment for the young ones as Santa, with his hearty "Ho,
ho, ho," brought a touch of holiday cheer to every classroom. The
excitement was palpable as students eagerly received their chocolate treasures,
sharing smiles and warmth with their friends.
A big thank you
to Santa for spreading joy and sweetness during this festive season! May the
spirit of giving and kindness continue to shine bright in our PLAYWAY
ACADEMY INTER COLLEGE.
